LOVED AND TRAVELED TO HOLDEN VILLAGE . CPE CLINICAL PASTORAL TRAINING AT METHODIST HOSPITAL IN SAN ANTONIO. 1977-1978 RETURNED TO AUSTIN FALL 1979 AND 1980 HE WORKED FOR PLASTIC PIPING. SERVED AS SUBSTITUTE CHAPLIN AT MD ANDERSON HOSPITAL IN HOUSTON. IN 1979. WORKED HIS WAY UP TO REGIONAL MANAGER FOR PLASTIC PIPING UNTIL 1994. WORKED IN INDUSTRIAL PLASTIC BUSINESS - PLASTIC FLUID SYSTEMS PLASTIC PIPING AND RYAN HERCO. 1981 HE BEGAN WORKING AT GETHSEMANE WITH THE SINGLES MINISTRY. IN 1995 HE WAS CALLED TO 3/4 MINISTRY AT GETHSEMANE AND WORKED WITH THE BORDER MINISTRY MAKING ANNUAL MISSION TRIPS TO PIEDRAS NEGRAS, EAGLE PASS AND LEADING IN BUILDING A MISSION CHURCH IN PIEDRAS NEGRAS. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY , WROTE AND ACTED IN CHRISTMAS EVE AND LENTEN DRAMAS. STARTED GLADIFF AND MIDWEEK CONNECTION AND ANNUAL RETREAT
On June 16,1990 kent married the love of his life Joan Yelderman Otto.
Together they raised their teenagers , and traveled taking Gethsemane groups to The Holy Land,, Greece, Italy, Egypt, England, Irland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, China, Russia. Kent and Joan Bohls started the 9E Ranch Cabins on the 320 acres from her family. They have had many happy years with their horses, Longhorns and enjoyed Birding. Kent end Joan Bohls are both active board members of Rotary and Bastrop Audubon and plan to leave their ranch to Travis Audubon and Bastrop County Audubon. The 9E Ranch has been put in a conservation easement with Colorado River Land Trust.
